arguing with Peter Werbe... the troop is right, he has no way to question the orders to a point, but he is also unable to make a cohreent staemetn. Damn I wish I was there to tell this troop chapter and verse of what is a legal and what is an ilegal order, as well as the Nuremberg Code.

By the way, the troop is right to be proud of his service, but cripes... the troop really cannot wrap his head around the fact that he is cannon fodder.

Cognitive functioning only begins to really kick in at about age 12, if what I've read in the past is correct. So that's only 6 years of functioning at a higher level.

And now the military is accepting the 20 percenters, which according to Murtha they had said before that they would never do.

No, honestly I can say, when I was 18 my outlook on things was much different than it is now, nearly 13 years later. I cringe at how foolish I was, riding in cars with my drunk friends and so on. You have no grasp of mortality and you are easily influenced by authority figures.

You rode in cars with your friends drunk? I drove ambulances at slightly above teh speed limit ... and went into perfectily good fires, and other things....

Cripes it started dawning on me that I could get myself killed doing this during a rescue when I was 25... gear kind of sort of failed... it was no longer fun...

13. yes among many other stupid things

that I used to do. Rode bulls too. Nearly got killed one time, stepped on in my chest and it bruised my heart and lung. It was a miracle that I wasn't more seriously hurt. That sort of put mortality a little bit more into perspective for me.

thuogh I always refused to do it without the damn tanks... them Scott Air Packs are heavy...

Also got shot at, had people chase me with an axe, a boy scout decided to assault me wtih a broken bottle in one of them dives you don't go without police escort (Broke his clavicle, and broke a mag lite in the process)...

Being a medic in Tijauna proved interestting... and as I like to tell people, if you ever saw traffic, 98 % is real... if you can I can tell you where exactly they changed some facts to protect themselves or serve the gullible...
