CNN's Fact Check segment on WMD on now...

... and it's quite excellent.

After showing Bush, Cheney and Hadley insisting, in various clips, that every major nation, including Germany, Russia and France, concluded Saddam had WMD, they showed contradictory clips of those nation's leaders.

Schroeder, on the eve of the Iraq invasion, told German parliament that Saddam most certainly does not possess nuclear weapons, and poses no sort of imminent threat. Putin says essentially the same thing in a news conference on the eve of the war. They then show Chirac, who says that he has too many doubts about the intelligence.

When they followed up the Bush Admin clips with the actual leaders contradicting their assertions, it pretty much closed the door on the White House's insistence that "everyone thought Saddam had WMD."

Excellent. They should put this on a continuous loop.
