11/10/2004: "Some corpses were melted."
Edited on Wed Nov-16-05 07:15 PM by Bluebear
Fallujah, Iraq -- U.S. Marines said American forces had taken control today of 70 percent of Fallujah in the third day of a major offensive to retake the insurgent stronghold...

The Jolan and Askali neighborhoods seemed particularly hard hit, with more than half of the houses destroyed. Dead bodies were scattered on the streets and narrow alleys of Jolan, one of Fallujah's oldest neighborhoods. Blood and flesh were splattered on the walls of some of the houses, witnesses said, and the streets were full of holes....

Some artillery guns fired white phosphorous rounds that create a screen of fire that cannot be extinguished with water. Insurgents reported being attacked with a substance that melted their skin, a reaction consistent with white phosphorous burns.

Kamal Hadeethi, a physician at a regional hospital, said, "The corpses of the mujahedeen which we received were burned, and some corpses were melted."

11. Not if we let the bastards off "for the good of the nation."
We did it with Nixon. We let them walk on technicalities and pardons with Iran-Contra. It didn't do the nation a bit of good. It simply made them think they could get away with anything.

This time: JUSTICE. Hard time in Marion.

5. This is a modification of an old artillery trick
Hit 'em with HE rounds, get them to scatter out of shelters and drop anti-personnel weapons. WP is just a new slant, since burning a body is a very bad thing in Islam. I;m SURE it was 'COOKED UP' at the highest levels of this sick administration.

7. wars are started by people who have never fought in them;
war is truly Hell....one group I've never seen is "Combat veterans for the proliferation of war" No one escapes the wounds on either side.

8. Perhaps I'm missing the context, but...
