Ben Affleck or George Clooney?
Who do you think could realistically and successfully have a career in politics?

Also, what happen to all those big name democratic actors who supported arnold for governor? Just curious.

1. I think either of them has a good shot
If Affleck can get around those who don't take him seriously because of his struggling acting career.

They are both smart and well- informed.

3. At the moment
Ben seems more serious or at least he is more politically vocal with his appearances on Bill Maher and the convention last year.

5. He is definitely passionate
I don't agree with him on one issue- guns- but most of us have points on which we don't agree.

I have found myself agreeing with most everything else he has said.

6. George of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he has a good family history of politics.
Then there are his looks----swoon
But Ben being younger still has time to work on his skills, and he's cute too!

13. Why not ---if they have the desire, conviction and talent?
They had Reagan....then Ahhhhnold....Isn't it time we Libs have someone the whole world can admire? (again after Clinton)
I'll take Warren Beatty as Gov, then prez, wouldn't you?

16. You do realize how old he is, right?
He was born in 1937. By the time he finished a term as governor in 2011, he'd be almost 74. The next federal election would be in 2012, and he'd be almost 76 by the time he took office. Last time you had a president that age, he was senile.

Arnold, Reagan, Sonny Bono, Fred Grandy, Clint Eastwood...

9. They both have tons
of brain more than the scruple (avery small amount, used in pharmacy before milligrams) of brain in Reagan or Bu$h.

11. Until he can get some age
in his face, Ben doesn't look old enough or experienced enough to be a "politician."

On the other hand, George Clooney looks very comfortable in his skin, and I think could pull it off.

I also think Harrison Ford would make a great politician. And he's even played the president already!

12. But is he political?
There is a difference from being a registered democrat and being political.

14. Actually, I thought Clooney was a jerk, but with his last movie
and the depth of the interviews, well, call me wrong and mis-informed.

He didn't give many interviews, previously, and came off as the proverbial playboy and womanizer!

I, now believe he is neither and deep.

15. Oprah Winfrey could be president
Ben and George are good but no one could beat Oprah, she could make Americans feel good about America again. Can you imagine attack ads against Oprah? Her fans would burn down the stations, Oprah has a bigger base than the democratic party.
