Dover, PA, Creationism, and Ayatollah Pat Robertson

For anyone who hasn't checked the news lately, the denizens of Dover, PA booted out a slate of candidates who were running for re-election for the school board. They had recently endorsed the teaching of Creationism as part of their biology curriculum. So the Democratic slate of candidates defeated the christo-fascist incumbents.

Subsequently, Ayatollah Robertson announced that the people of Dover have now ben shunned by God. That's right, he advised the people of Dover to no longer ask God for help if tragedy should ever strike them, because they had kicked God out of their community.

So here's what I'm thinking. I'm going to put a $20 check in an envelope and mail it to the Dover School Board. Web Page

What do you think about sending a $1 by mail to the Dover School Board. If a few thousand people did it, you can bet the teachers in Dover would be most grateful. After all, they can now get back to teaching science as opposed to a fairy tale.

Maybe Pat's god has turned its back on the people of Dover, but I sure have a special place in my heart for Dover now.
