While You Freeps Are Watching The French Riots Remember This.

The violence and anger we are seeing in the streets of France is a direct result of racist and classist governmental policies. Essentially freeperish policies. They are the result of a large segment of the French population being cut off from economic opportunity, legal representation and hope. Poverty, race and desperation are driving the riots.

I want you freeps to take a good hard look at the outcome of decades of divisive policies and prejudice. You better remember it. It is where we are headed as long as you racist and elitist freeps run the show. The American poor and minorities feel more and more disenfranchised everyday. This is a direct result of the policies implemented under the Bush regime with full and open freeper support.

All I can say is when the riots hit this country, I hope that the rioters are smart enough to go after red states and red strongholds in otherwise blue states instead of burning their own neighborhoods.

Bush supporters are the problem. I just hope that sanity prevails SOON so that rioting does not become the answer.

The freeper types only see that Muslims are the ones rioting and that only reinforces their belief that "ragheads" are dangerous and therefore they deserve any retaliation that happens as a result. The dispossessed are so completely alienated that they don't see themselves as belonging to any larger community. So when passions boil over, they don't see the harm they do themselves when they burn their neighbors' cars and nearby businesses. In a few days, damage is done that takes at least a generation to heal. That's the true tragedy of riots.

It is NATURAL for people to be clannish & xenophobic, and the French are no exception. 18. Paris is a very strange city

The center is extra-ordinary. Paris is a city which is build to impress. The whole center is showing one message and the message is that Paris is the center of the universe. Some cities may be bigger. Some cities may have taller buildings. Some cities may be older. But no city is as impressive as Paris.

The result is that it is extremely wealthy. It's Beverly Hills on a massive scale and it's rich and white. Around the center you have some normal district and some poorer districts and then you have the ringroad and on the other side of the ringroad you'll find ghettos stretching for miles and it's one huge concrete jungle. And it's just north-africans living there.

The only way to get to the center is not by the underground, but by the RER. An underground railroad system which is even lower (it's below the sewer as well) and it is only build to get the people to work and back again and it's setup to seperate from the normal metro system.

Even though they are socialists, it is a segregation tactic and it was bound happen in Paris (and then spread to the rest of the country), because we are talking about a huge city with 10 millions people and 3 millions of those are North-Africans living in the ghettos. So the scale is even slightly bigger than New York City.
