1. If there are, why aren't they out there like the napalmed children pics
in Vietnam? Remember how photos changed the war at home? The people in charge have sworn not to ever let that happen again.

3. There are Some Images in the Italian Documentary
Video links at truthout and some other places.
Not identified specifically as white phosphorous victims, but I believe that's what they were. Very odd -- the bodies looked collapsed, but the clothes were intact.

6. A guy from globalsecurity.org
was on Randie Rhodes today. He said that white phosphorous would burn clothes as well as skin and that the Italian documentary pictures are not consistent with white phosphorous burns but rather with bodies that have been exposed to the elements for a while.

7. I think the guy from globalsecuruty is full of shit
We used white phosphorous during Vietnam, and the Viet Cong were scared to death of it. I wasn't there, but a superior of mine had just returned, and that's exactly how he described it 35 years ago.

9. Actually he sounded pretty reasonable
Or else how do you account for clothes being unburned?

8. I saw the report yesterday
and although there were some bodies that looked like 24 hr decomp had set in, the patchy blackening of the skin plus in some cases altogether missing integumentary tissue in broad layers most certainly looked like wp.

That guy either didn't watch all of it or he's a shill; anyway, a bit late since the USDA apparently actually did use WP in their "shake'n'bake" assaults and documented it too.

I would have question the globalsecurity guy's analytical skills here . . . or else his motives.

10. another problem with the globalsecurity guy's
theory is there are dead people all over Iraq in the last few years to photograph. They should all look like that and what would be the point of showing these particular corpses.

11. There have been rumors (well more than rumors) that the Pentagon's
been playing around with unconventional weapons for years. As far back as the invasion of Panama there were claims that the US was using experimental weapons as I recall anyway.

I'm just wondering if it's possible that microwave weapons (reportedly developed for nonlethal crowd control purposes) may already have been used in a more lethal manner? Reportedly the nonlethal microwave weapons were to be employed in Iraq late this year or next year.

A couple published articles on military development of microwave weapons for "crowd control":

Pentagon tests on volunteers:
http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=mg18725095.600

Reported plans to deploy for use in Iraq:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/09/19/wirq319.xml&sSheet=/news/2004/09/19/ixworld.html

Now I'm not going all tin foily and don't know what the heck happened. But I couldn't help but wonder. I don't know about this stuff and make no claims. For those who are better informed than I, if this speculation or even the possibility is complete BS feel free to say so. In fact please do.

12. The photos I've seen from the Italian documentary
don't seem consistent with what I would expect from a microwave attack. I'm not a physicist (and I don't play one on tv) but my assumption is that the damage from microwaves would be more disruptive of the tissues. The images I've seen suggest some sort of external phenomena, possibly chemical, rather than the internal heating of cells that I would expect from microwaves.

I have to admit that the lack of effect on the clothing that is obvious in the photos is extremely curious, and something of a stumper. We used to play around with small quantities of phosphorus when I was in high school, but I don't really know enough about this particular application to understand the claims that WP doesn't affect clothing.

13. You've got a point about disrupting the tissues. My microwave adventures
Edited on Wed Nov-09-05 06:40 PM by Garbo 2004
are limited to heating up leftovers or frozen meals. I once misinput the time on something and the results were distinctly untidy. I naturally haven't given much thought to what lethal weaponization would look like.

The fact that they were talking about nonlethal use of microwaves disturbed me enough. But no doubt they have a variety of weapons at their disposal.

And regardless of the manner, of course, the folks are dead.

Thanks for responding.

15. Here is Dahr Jamail's website with very graphic pics from Fallujah ...
and Iraq. This is America's brand of liberation?????

You will need to scroll down the page to "Fallujah" and you will see the effects of white phosphorus aka napalm on a human body. I had been to this site months ago and wondered why the clothing was intact but the bodies burned beyond recognition, now I know.
