Anyone watching Harkin on C-Span 2?
Edited on Tue Nov-08-05 02:36 PM by cynatnite
He showed how Armed Forces Network is being censored. There is strictly conservative talk and no progressive. Harkin wants an omsbudman and is offering an amendment to require one for Armed Forces Network.

1. Harkin just brought up why not Howard Stern?
Edited on Tue Nov-08-05 02:38 PM by cynatnite
Inhofe said unspoken policy was 1 million listeners and syndicated. Harken said if this is the case, why not Stern?

Inhofe says he's lewd and all that.

on edit: Harken is making Inhofe look like a freakin' idiot.

5. Imhofe: "I've been to Iraq every month and the troops tell me what kind
of programming they want". Yeah, right. :sarcasm:

6. Yes he was also talking about this on Friday.
I read something about this on DU last year (I think), but nothing ever came of it in the media. If memory serves we pay for the programs. So blowhards like Rush take money from our military that could be used for better things like protective gear.
