Why are they holding the vote open?
I just walked in from running an errand and turn on CSPAN. Lo and Behold, only about half had voted and I look at the time remaining... 0:00. Five minutes later, the time remains at 0:00 and the numbers are changing from NV into voted columns. Oh...and the "NO" column of the Republicans is having an electronic problem. It keeps changing from 2 to 1 to 0 to 1 to 2 to 0 ...

Ok. Votes over now 10 minutes later. Can you guess which way it went?

3. Here...
took some time to find exactly what it was all about (like I said, I'd just walked in and didn't see debate leading up to the vote). Also, read from the bottom up for the chronological order of the record. :)

2. SOP... after they've twisted enough arms to get a necessary majority...
... the gavel is slammed down. The clock means nothing.

5. I understand that. It's not the first time and won't be the last.
The more they want a decisive vote, the longer they'll hold it open. Personally, I think we should be bringing to light each and every time they do this!

6. Have you heard Debbie Wasserman Schultz on the subject?
She says the Repug side of the voting board needs to be checked by an electrician, because their votes keep changing.

Gotta love a Dem with a good sense of snark.
