OMG! Laughable new right wing talking point!
From raging right wing nut:
"Plame could not do what Wilson did (going public) and Wilson could not do what he did without Plame."

From another right wing nut:

"The "goal" of the Plame/Wilson conspiracy was and still is to discredit the President and his adminstration."

"According to the democrat spin machine, Plame was the highly trained and qualified CIA covert agent who investigated arms deals outside the United States concerning our enmeies and terrorist organizations. Wilson was a second rate political hack working as an Ambassador to third world nations and countries so backward they still practice slavery. Had Plame been assigined to find out about the Iraq/Niger negeociations, she would never have been able to speak out about anything she discovered, good or bad. So the highly trained and experienced CIA covert agent was NOT given that assignment, a theatrical Maxwell Smart in the guise of Ambassador Wilson was. So when political discord is needed, Wilson was not bound by any oath or loyality to secrecy or covert operations, so he could expose anything and anybody he wished to the media at his whim and he did."

I got it! I got it! :bounce:

That is the new right wing talking point. And guess what else, it was Zell Miller who came up with it! Yep, ole crazy as a loon Zell! It was in the article he wrote for the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Here it is:

"The agent realizes her spouse can go out on behalf of the spy agency, can distort information, go public with classified information and use all this spy-agency-sponsored material and credentials to try to pull down the current government, and it is all perfectly legal."

"Suppose the spouse adds just one more brilliant, well-aimed lie: claim your foremost political opponent put the spouse up to the trip. As your spouse uses your agency's name to mount attacks, your enemy may fall into your trap. Will your enemy suffer your spouse's lies or take the bait and try to clarify his non-role? If he tells the press he didn't hire your spouse, the press will demand to know, "Then who did?"

"Instead of you violating secrecy laws, it is your victim who is guilty because he tried to set the record straight. Heads, you win; tails, he loses."

"It sounds unbelievable, a fiction, perhaps to be called "To Sting a King." But it is no fiction. This is the story behind Valerie Plame, Joe Wilson and the Bush administration. And it appears that Plame and Wilson will get away with the biggest sting operation ever."

BIG, BIG, BIG PROBLEMS WITH THAT LOONEY TUNES THEORY!

WHY ON EARTH DIDN'T LIBBY, ROVE, ETC. TESTIFY TO THAT BEFORE THE GRAND JURY RATHER THAN LIE ABOUT WHO THEY HAD TALKED TO AND WHAT THEY HAD SAID?

AND THERE IS NO WAY ON EARTH THAT THE CIA AND THE BUSH/ASHCROFT JUSTICE DEPARTMENT WOULD BE INVESTIGATING THE OUTTING OF A CIA AGENT BY MEMBERS OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION IF THERE WERE THE SCINTILLA OF TRUTH TO THAT OUTRAGEOUS THEORY!

5. Ole Zell
needs to go off to the north Georgia mountains, enjoy his retirement and SHUT HIS FRIGGIN PIEHOLE.

"G'Quan wrote, "There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way." The war we fight is not against powers or principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting in moments of transition to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain." -

6. So with all the so-called reforms of the CIA
and the FBI, Bushco supposedly was not aware that their own agents were working to discredit his administration. If that's the case, then Bush needs to go to jail for making our intelligence problems worse than pre-911.

9. Rush said it too!
Limbaugh also stated, "You still can't convince me ... that this whole thing is not a CIA-hatched plot to destroy Bush, undermine the war effort."

10. It's in the playbook:
Rove's Defense
from allhatnocattle.net
Rove's defense: author unknown
Karl didn't do anything wrong.
And even if he did, Valerie Plame wasn't a spy.
And even if she was, she wasn't undercover.
And even if she was, Wilson told everyone
And even if he didn't, everyone knew who she was anyway.
And even if they didn't, she had not done anything secret on the last 5 years.
And even if she did, outing her wasn't a crime
And even if it was, outing her did not ruin a 20 year CIA operation and their front company Brewster & Jennings
And even if it did, outing her did not endanger her and her family
And even if it did, outing her did not endanger otherCIA agents who worked for her
And even if it did, they deserved it because her CIA group was out to get Bush
And even if they weren't, Wilson lied.
And even if he didn't, it was trap concocted by Wilson's buddy Clinton and his wife Hillary to get at Bush
And even if it wasn't, Wilson was a partisan Democrat.
And even if he wasn't, his report wasn't important to anyone outside the Wilson household.
And even if it was, it was full of mistakes and grammar errors.
And even if it wasn't, everyone leaks intel like that in Congress.
And even if they don't, David Corn outed her first
And even if he didn't Novak never said her name
And even if he did he was never warned by the CIA not to do it
And even if he was Rove never said her name
And even if he did there is no proof
And even if there's proof, Rove only was only trying to prevent a mistake
And even if there was no mistake to prevent, Rove heard it from another reporter
And even if he didn't, he didn't know it was his job to prevent the leak
And even if he did, it's not like he signed a document saying he would never do it
And even if he did, it's not like Rove's boss promised to fire anyone involved
And even if he did, it's not like Bush signed a document saying he had to take corrective action
And even if he did, there is no proof someone from the WH blabbed
And even if there is proof, Judy Miller is not going to talk
And even if Judy talks, she was never working on a story about Wilson
And even if she was, there are no notes and the NYT denies it
And even if there are notes, Rove never mentioned any of this to anyone in the WH
And even if he did, no one will ever find the e-mail
And even if they find it, Rove had just forgotten about it
And even if he didn't forget, he lied to Bush and GW is innocent
And even if he isn't Democrats and Clinton are 'out to get Rove and Bush with lies and innuendo
And even if they are telling the truth... Hey look over there: See Miers? Letter from Al Qaeda? Avian Flu? Subway terror Alert
Valerie who? This is old news...
