Where is the Outrage over Iraq? Jesus
If a person takes serious time and looks at all relevant stories/indictments objectively how can he or she not feel totally betrayed by government officials? I really get stressed out thinking about the number of times I repeatedly told my friends Iraq was a bull shit war and all I get in return.....a couple pair of shoulder shrugs.
Man. I am 27 and was always taught to think on my own.....Is my generation so stupid or lack intellectual curiosity to question Americas current regime? I really believe 9/11 scared the be-jesus out of my generation since until 9/11 the world was stable. Fear definitely trumped logic and Rove found a new block of voters. People my age. I really just want to fucking scream. Jesus Christ

1. 20-somethings voted for Kerry in large numbers
therefore, I have hope. I have taught my children (early 20's) to think critically and therefore, I have hope for the future.

It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. Peace.

2. I get the same
when I told a religious "pro-lifer" at work the 2000th US troop had been killed in Iraq he said, "SO?"........it is not just your generation, thefloyd, I see the apathy across the board. I was starting to think only veterans really cared about the troops because the only ones at work talking about it are, like me, veterans.

3. It seems the tide is turning with the indifference towards the war...
and more people are starting to finally question why we are in Iraq. The polls are definitely showing the change. I see the same indifference in all age groups so it is not just your generation.

5. It is a long, long way away
and we only see it once in a great while in our living rooms inside glass covered boxes.

We don't know the people. It doesn't affect our getting to work, getting groceries. Our children aren't forced to fight in it. The ones who do are reverred as heroes.

It is very sandy there and the people wear strange clothes. Their skin is rather dark. They speak a strange language and jump around a lot with guns. The men hold hands so they must be mostly fags. They spend a whole lot of time with their butts up in the air in long lines. They don't let you see their women..keep 'em in a bag or under a big scarf.

The only people who are really concerned are the same hippy freaks who made such a big deal about that there Viet Nam place and look what happened? We lost and millions more died.

Now don't bother me, the game is coming on and I gotta get this grass cut before it does.
