The above picture showed up on 10/18/2004. Karl had sat down on the tarmac in front of the wheels of Air Force One. Via a long gone Yahoo News item...


Returning to the aircraft after Bush's foreign policy speech, the two men traded words. As Bush climbed the stairs, his top political adviser set his briefcase down in front of the tires and stretched out on the ground with his back to the wheels.
We can only guess about what that spat was about...perhaps the leaky White House? Karl had just testified in front of the Plame Grand Jury on 10/15/2004.
