Questions about Latest RW talking points RE: Niger uranium

I have heard 2 right wing radio hosts in the last couple of days claim that

1) Wilson did say when he came back from Africa that there were indications that Iraq really had gone to Niger to attempt to procure uranium
2) The British stand by their intelligence claims

Now my questions are:

1) How come Kay/ Dulfer and the Iraq Survey Group did not find any nuclear enrichment or processing plants after months of exhaustive search after the invasion.

2) Was Saddam going to process the uranium out of his butt after he bbought it?
