OBSTRUCTIONISM ... A Good Thing?
Edited on Tue Nov-01-05 04:20 PM by RubADubDubya

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton:

"I know it's frustrating for many of you, it's frustrating for me. Why can't the Democrats do more to stop them? I mean, c'mon, toughen up, guys, it's only our Constitution and country at stake. Let's get some spine!"

Remember, some things are worth obstructing ... like legislation and court nominees that threaten your fundamental rights and liberties.

1. James Carville and Paul Begala
"But if Mr. Bush continues to push his radical agenda, offering right-wing judicial nominees and environmental policies that threaten our air and water -Senate Democrats may have no option other than to obstruct. They should not shrink from that duty. Stop signs save lives." May 27, 2001

4. Hell Yes!
Kind of like the abused wife is "obstructing" her abuser when she presses charges and puts him in jail.

Obstruct these assholes at every opportunity. TIS a good thing.

6. I have to remember Mario Savio of the Free Speech Movement
“There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can’t take part; and you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus and you’ve got to make it stop. And you’ve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you’re free, the machine will be prevented from working at all.”
