Yesterday morning, prior to the press conference, Fitzgerald's spokesman was quoted as saying that a new gj would be empaneled as soon as the old one expired.

News articles today describe this as "remote" possibility.

Where's the truth?

Nowhere did Fitzgerald say a new grand jury was a definite thing. Rather, he stated it's common to get a new one while an investigation is still open.

There are always several empanelled at the courthouse at any given time, so evidence can be presented to any of them.
