4. All depends on how he leaves
If he resigns or is impeached and convicted or if he becomes disabled as a result of some pretzel incident he won't be in a position to pardon anyone. OTOH if he somehow manages to serve out his term he will pardon not only Libby but all the rest of the creeps that wind up impicated in this mess. Right now I'd say the odds are about 50-50.

5. A little OT, but reminded me of Begala comment yesterday...
When asked about the effect on the Bush presidency of all that's going on...

Begala said (paraphrasing): "With the Miers withdrawal, Bush becomes a lame duck; if Fitzgerald indicts, he is a dead duck."
