We've seen this "the tide is turnng/Bush is toast" stuff before.

Just assume nothing.

I'm going back to bed.

8. I just keep thinking back to Iran/Contra
People just as high up in the adminstration indicted for crimes and cover-ups and what did it get us? They got pardoned and Ronnie "didn't recall".

13. This will go one of two ways
Watergate (or bigger)

or

Iran/Contra (or less)

12. Just identifying who the Bush sucks in the media are has me celebrating
Can't un-ring that bell no matter what happens now. That information alone is priceless. I am surprised more people don't realize this?

These were dependable mouthpieces that the Republicans had embedded in our supposedly "liberal" media for decades. Many of us had our suspicions about these people for a long time but now we have the evidence too.

14. I am being cautiously
optimistic. My optimism is telling me, once the indictments are handed down, a snowball effect will take place, and more heads will roll. There'll be a lot of finger pointing and denial, denial, denial.

16. I guess you will have to count me into the Scrooge population this time
If there is one thing that ShrubCo is good at, it is getting things fixed. I have a hard time believing that this situation is any different. I hope. Yes, brothers and sisters, I hope. But too I am sure that people were hoping the Iran Contra scandal would bring down St. Ronny. Nope. No such luck. I do hope that it is more like Watergate than Iran-Contra. But I am a cynic at heart, I guess. Maybe I have just had my hopes dashed too many times. I don't know.

18. This may at least be the beginning of a discussion
in America if the pro-neocon democrats don't muddy it by siding with those they wish they were.

19. When you see a Roman Congress you can hardly feel good.
I do not feel good about this govt. unless we try to get back to what our founders wanted and that was voters questions their govt. Plus citizens in Congress and the military. I think we have made a big error with a professional military. The people have lost its power over it. Now it is what our corp. profits are being based on.

22. The announcement of any indictments is only the beginning...
I've dialed down my expectations quite a bit in the last few days. I'm not expecting much in the way of indictments. What will be important, IMO, is who gets indicted. If it's Rove and Libby, the fallout will be huge.

Dems will have a hell of a lot of leverage to push for hearings.
