New Rush meme: 20 million angry dittoheads will attack
Edited on Fri Oct-10-03 10:29 PM by librechik
if anybody, especially liberals, trash their goat-footed goddess. I mean the revered talk show host they worship like slavering curs.

Now we have the phony professor from the "Media Research Center" who begins by claiming liberals are celebrating Rush's drug problem.

Except for Malloy, I haven't heard any conspicuous liberals take that
attitude about the Rush thing. All express sympathy for his illness, which is more than Rush has ever done for addicts. The most stern reaction is that what Rush did was a serious crime and he ought to face prosecution. That's not criticism, that's just a fact according to law.

Once more they are deflecting the focus off Rush and focusing hatred on a favorite target: us.

Is that a threat about the 20 million? Different Pukes have been pushing this spin all night long on cable, and I wish they'd shut the hell up and leave Rush and us alone. Death threats to the person who MIGHT be Rush's prosecutor if it ever comes to that, no less.

Watch your asses. Remember the guy that got killed in the bar because of a fight over the war in Iraq?

Watch your asses.

12. He's cried time after time about druggies deserving prison
unfortunately, he won't see a day of it. 30 days of "rehab" will be his rich man's sentence.

If he overdosed on Oxy in a year, I would not shed a tear.

8. Malloy just said he is not criticizing Rush's addiction
It's the hypocrisy, and I agree with him. Jeff Christie has a drug problem. Rush Limbaugh is a big, fat idiot!

10. more lying liars
i saw ann cloutier on scarbourgh country and she said that even if rush is guilty of the crimes he is accused of, she wouldnt want him to go to jail, because he is her friend. she even said if her mother committed murder she wouldnt want her mom to go to jail. but of course if it was someone she didnt know they should lock them up.

what a typically repuke double standard.
i hope Rush does begin a recovery from his addiction (no one but no one deserves to be an addict)
but i also hope that rush, coultier et al, suffer for their double standards (throw criminals in jail, as long as im not friends with them)

peace

13. Rush's Next Addiction...
I'm very sympathetic about drug abusers and offenders...having known way to many in my life, and I could have gone that route as well. It's an illness, and my bets the causes aren't the boils in pigboy's butt but go way, way back...abusers just don't happen.

I hope he finds his demons and confronts them...maybe like Lee Atwater, and truly learn what compassion is for the first time in his very pampered life.

No, I have absolutely no pity for him...not only does he deserve to be prosecuted, and if found guilty, serve the same term as anyone (codeword: black) who is convicted of the same crime. He lost me today when he claimed he was on "Prescription Medication"...BULLSHIT...he was doped up on Hillbilly Heroin...and who knows what else. Prescription Medicine is one issued by a licensed physician, not by your housekeeper.

I guess Step One...admitting you have a problem hasn't kicked in yet. Another reason not to feel anything but contempt for one of America's most divisive voices ever (he rates in my book with McCarthy) and supreme hypocrite.

11. Got any quotes?
Time to pack your bags, folks. Main stream right wing voices are making so much noise about killing dissidents that it's only a matter of time until the whole country goes up like Zimbabwe.

Or Rwanda.

Dittoheads are cowards

Tell that to Matthew Shepard. Dittoheads with beer and in groups are dangerous. Underestimating them can be fatal.

17. Probably true about "conspicuous" liberals
and speaking of asses, alan colmes on his radio show tonight expressed nothing but compassion for Oxypig. Believes that he will be embraced when he comes out of this, that it will be good for his career in the long run. His station count might even go up.

Alan said he is being consistent in his compassion.

He said that we should presume until proven otherwise that Oxy abused “prescription” drugs, that we don’t know that they were illegal. To give him the benefit of the doubt until the facts are known.

What a pathetic delusional suckup, considers himself to be the liberal counterpart to Hannity.

19. Well, in his case, it might be smart.............
Rush hasn't been arrested or convicted of anything...this is all a National Enquirer story with some pretty convincing evidence. But it would be premature for our political commentators who reflect our positions on TV/Radio to become as unhinged as the Dark Side would if the positions were reversed. Now if he is arrested and prosecuted, that will be a different story....

One way or another, I think Rush will be nuetralized in 2004. I, for one, will start calling him OxyRush and I will tell everyone I can, every chance I can about how bad a feel that Rush was a closet narcotics junkie for all these years and I will wonder if his addiction didn't contribute to his outrageous statements that he's made over the years.

Let's keep him nuetralized...........

20. You're right of course, but the rules of
engagement have changed. If shrub can use false and discredited info to force a war then I'm sticking by the Enquirer.

Insofar as Colmes is concerned I have a problem with him in that he has a golden opportunity to counter some of the wingnut BS that's endemic in radio/cable and just does not have it in him to go out on a limb every now and then and take a stand. Since he's one of the few out there on this side of the aisle I want more than he's able to deliver and he ends up pissing me off.

26. Especially when there is proof he says shit like this.
Snopes proves he said "Take that bone out of your nose and call me back".

Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh once told a black caller to "Take that bone out of your nose and call me back."

http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/limbaugh.asp

He deserves everything we hit him with and more.

23. The hell with them
they are thin skinned. If they dont like the heat, get out of the kitchen. For years I listened to them bash Clinton and spend 70 million dollars doing it, wasting time and our money in Congress. Now they want liberals to have pity on a man whose sole purpose in life is to defend war criminals and thugs who run the government?
pfffft.

25. Raw Data: Rush Limbaugh's Statement
Raw Data: Rush Limbaugh's Statement

Friday, October 10, 2003

Following is the full text of radio commentator Rush Limbaugh's statement on-air statement, Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, according to Premiere Radio, his broadcaster:

"You know I have always tried to be honest with you and open about my life. So I need to tell you today that part of what you have heard and read is correct. I am addicted to prescription pain medication.

"I first started taking prescription painkillers some years ago when my doctor prescribed them to treat post-surgical pain following spinal surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery was unsuccessful and I continued to have severe pain in my lower back and also in my neck due to herniated discs. I am still experiencing that pain.
