I just finished Chapter 25 of Franken's "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them". Franken covered details therein of just how Rush jumped on the Wellstone Memorial being nothing but a staged event to be used to maximum political advantage. That would be Democrats using it for political purposes. Of course, it was nothing of the sort.
I didn't think I could hate the Fat Fuck more until I read this chapter today. There are no depths to which this piece of shit won't go to spread the latest vile bit of GOPropaganda.

8. This *is* worth our attention

Pigboy has been a boil on the ass of humanity for going on 15 years now. He is an incredibly dangerous man, and is directly responsible for much of the bullshit we on DU have to fight every day. The atmosphere of hate he has created and nurtured for the purpose of getting (and staying) rich has created some dire circumstances. President Clinton agrees with me--he squarely put the blame on hate radio for the Oklahoma City bombing. Without Pigboy, people like Ann Coulter, O'Really, Hannity, etc. AD NAUSEUM (literally) would not be millionaires dictating our foreign and domestic policy, they would be somewhere flipping burgers where they belong. Pigboy is the pioneer, the mouthpiece for the Reich Wing hate agenda that made such an enterprise profitable and thus attractive.

The fact that Pigboy is now going down in flames is a more than appropriate topic for discussion, IMO.

On Edit: I don't think there needs to be 50 threads about it though. I also don't think there needs to be 50 threads about why X candidate sucks, why Dems are going to lose in '04, etc. That's just how GD is though, unfortunately. It's really an issue for the mods.
