What about Debbie Wasserman Schultz from Florida for VP?
I don't know much about her but every time I have listened to her she has impressed me as someone who is smart as hell. She is from perhaps the most important swing state as well.

Is she too young?

A Clark / Debbie Wasserman Schultz ticket would be my dream ticket.

1. LOL
Insane.

I dig her, really, but that kind of chutzpah doesn't play in Peoria, if you follow.

4. I don't follow. She seems mainstream to me and I am a moderate
However, I have only heard her talk a few times including her awesome presentation during the Terri Schiavo fiasco and a couple of times on Randi Rhodes. She carries herself extremely well in my opinion.

3. I like her too, but I think she's too young.
Brilliant, but needs more time on the hill maybe.

15. I really like her a lot
But yes. I think she needs more time. There are a few women in the Senate and/or Congress who I would prefer more. I really like Pelosi, Boxer and McKinney. I would vote for Hillary if she won the nomination of course. And I like Clark but I don't think he'd get through the primaries.

5. Wasn't She One of the GREAT Ones During the SCHIAVO Affair?
The Dem Representatives group who stood up then were just GREAT. I called all of their offices to tell them so back then.

What's youth got to do with it. If RAYGUN with Alzheimer's and CrashCart CHEENEE can get in.

What about the ones who are ALWAYS so good: WEXLER, WAXMAN, CONYERS, RANGEL, FRANK.

8. Yes, she was awesome on the floor
I will never forget her words: "Her (Schiavo's) brain is liquefied". She really caught my eye that night.

14. I love Rep. Shultz..
.. and I'd *love* Rep. Frank, either as VP or Presidential candidate, but, unfortunatly, he wouldn't have a chance with the amount of bigots out there.

Rep. Conyers would make a nice candidate though!

6. What about governor of FL?
Hell, if Jeb can qualify, she certainly can. I've stumbled upon her several times on CSPAN and she's impressed me every time - definitely bright!

7. Rep. Jim Davis will be the Dem candidate I think
and he's a good one. He was right their with Wasserman-Schulz during the Schiavo mess.

16. That would be pretty cool
I think she needs a bit more time though. I would love to see her as governor of Florida though someday. She's such a cool person too. :)

9. She's very sensible
She's not ready for VP though. She has a good career in the House ahead of her and I think she's the type of leader we need on our team. She's a member of the 30-something study group in the House, which is a very bright, innovative group of Representatives.

11. I like your assessment of Wasserman
Who knows, in a couple more election cycles she may be ready to move into a more prominent role. Then again, we need straight thinking, tough talking Dems in the House who are there to represent the people, and Rep Wasserman does a wonderful job at that. :)

13. So far - I'll stand up for her in whatever she does. She reminds me of
Paul Wellstone in some ways.
