Keith Olberman calls Oreilly an "idiot"
Just a minute ago, on 'Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me'.

It was hilarious.

19. Oh I agree.....
I think it's time for a new DU tee shirt competition, afterall, the Fitzmas shopping season is NOW (well, based on my local K-Mart displays..lol..)

My entry would be: "Had Enough? Vote Democratic" (over a DU logo)...thanks to DUer Mestup :)

Also, would love a "Tulemria" (sp?) Survivor, DC Protest Sept 2005" over a DU logo :)

Delay's smiling mugshot is easy "What is he smiling about?" (kudo's to many DUers for that gem) over a DU Logo!

:yourock: rocknation, you really DU :hi:

22. I love "Had Enough? Vote Democratic".
I also like the Delay mugshot idea except for one thing: way too many people in America have no idea who Tom Delay is, and even if they do, they don't know why he's in trouble. I find it disturbing how little the average person keeps up with what's going on and who's running the country.

If Tom had a BJ from someone other than his wife, then people would sit up and take notice.

6. Not bad for the career, either
Pick a fight with O'Reilly (easy to do) and reap a torrent of new exposure when he supernovas. No reason for O'Reilly to just be Franken's personal profit center, there's plenty enough to go around.

8. Does anyone listen to O'Reilly?
I've heard his show has 3 mill viewers a night, but from the number of people who blast him on DU every day, I wonder how many of them are Dems just watching for the train wreck value.

Props to Obermiller. He was once the sports journalist I respected the most. Nice to see him transition so well.

13. I've always suspected that's true
of all the top rightwing pundits. I wouldn't be surprised if a double-digit percentage of their regular audience was non-wingers tuning in for their daily harrumph. If we ever got someone outrageous and abrasive (Randi Rhodes maybe?) to break nationally in a big way, they could make money off the backs of freepers, for the same reason.

9. and he also talked about Al Franken going after Alex Trebek
on Jeopardy with Keith trying to "restrain" him and how hard it was because Al is a former wrestler and his body is made of "concrete."

11. Is this true.? My opinion of Al Franken
just increased about 1000%. I can't stand that smug fuckin Trebek. He has a horse farm not far from here and got pulled over by the Highway Patrol for drunk driving about a year ago.

I'll bet Alex had to retreat to his dressing room for a change of underwear after that incident.

15. KO wails on OReally quite a bit.
Its hilarious.

KO makes Oreally look really stupid. Its not a real hard thing to do but doing it and making it funny is an art form.

16. Oh, I missed it!
Hope they have repeats or archives because I would love to hear that.

I still have on tape an expose they did of O'Reilly on a different NPR show about two years ago. Good stuff. Not to mention Malachy McCourt's absolute trashing of O'Reilly and Hannity in a St. Patrick's Day special for WBAI...that's awesome too if you can manage to dig it up. ("Radio Free Eireann" archives. They changed servers, so it's hard to find. But it's great.)
