I'm in Sacramento, California.

They were all over the place less than six months ago.

gloating as much any more.

They're either very defensive or silent.

are people putting these on their cars even now? Can you even still get K/E stickers?

I'm in Williamson Co. so the ratio is higher for * here, but it's getting better.

52. I put a K/E sticker in my rear window just last month.
I found a place on the Internets that was still selling them. I just got so tired of those lame "W'04" stickers on the SUVs in my neighborhood.

I wonder if the W/SUV crowd will take off the W stickers or trade in the SUVs first!

But the number has decreased significantly I think. I can go days without seeing one sometimes. That NEVER used to happen.

Cracks me up. It's like they're celebrating incompentence or something. Morans.

4. Sadly, yes
Not many, but I've seen a couple. But I live in Arkansas, just south of Springfield MO. It's interesting to note the behavior of the drivers with W stickers-often they are rude drivers. One had a sign of a young man with a machine gun with a proud placard about the number of "kills" he'd made in Iraq. I felt like throwing up.

10. I honk/wave to anti bush sticker drivers
Ever since last November, whenever I am driving on the highway, I honk and wave at the person. Usually I will show them the peace sign with my 2 fingers so they know why this "crazy person" is honking at them. Usually the passengers in the car will wave back and smile. It's addicting, especially in NJ where we have red-state wanna-be people on the road.

I've said this before, but my son plays "slug bug no tag backs" while we're in the car (VW bugs).

Every time I see a W sticker I say "idiot".

He decided to add to the game repertoire. Now when we see a W sticker we say "idiot no tag backs". Great fun is had by all.

Still see Kerry stickers. Very few relating to the current **** fiasco however. It takes us yankees a while to get brave enough to post anti-anything stickers on our cars. I guess its fear of retribution. Have had questions about my DU sticker however. Wonder if any signed up? Seems like lots of newbees. Smart folks, even if they are a little late. 26. I see at least one every day at work
There's a guy at work who not only has a Bush/Cheney sticker on his rear bumper, but also has a Bush/Cheney baseball cap sitting on the back deck of his car, visible through his rear window. And this is in Massachusetts. I've been so tempted to scrape the thing off. But I'm afraid it might be a 'career-limiting' move on my part. Besides, there are several other cars with Kerry/Edwards stickers in the same parking lot. So this guy stands out as the sole idiot in a sea of smart voters.

in Kansas. In fact, it seemed to me that thousands of them appeared after the election, far more than I saw before.

There are still nearly as many Kerry or various anti-war stickers around as before, which is nice to see.

I'm considering getting a bumper sticker made up that says something like: Voted for Bush? What do you think of him now?

Or maybe just a simple Unindicted Co-Conspirator would do the trick.

It used to be you couldn't pass a SUV without seeing that W in the window. But now I'm seeing much less Ws (and less SUVs!) And it really does seem people are resurrecting their Kerry/Edwards stickers from somewhere - I've spotted quite a few in the last week. It's almost like if people still support Bush they're getting embarrassed to say it.

50. I don't understand why people keep bringing this up as if ...
it's some sort of political barometer. It's wishful thinking.

It's natural and logical that the farther away you get from an election, the fewer bumper stickers you will see from that election. It's simple attrition -- people trade in their cars or clean their cars.

Six months ago was only five months after the election, so naturally there would be more stickers on cars at the point.

Edited on Fri Oct-21-05 05:50 PM by Stevendsmith
This means that many people are actually removing the stickers from their vehicles. What is it that prompts that decision? In many cases, yes, it does reflect a simple distance from the election period. But in many cases, I think it is remorse or embarassment over voting for Bush.

Maybe we should poll the Freepers: Why did you remove your "W" sticker?

I don't see too many Bush/Cheney stickers anymore. And you know there was an article in the paper about Ralph Reeds (repuke going to run for Lieutenant Gov in 06) and how his Century Strategies consulting company washed the money from ELottery (an internet gambling company) through the RW Christian fundamentalist PAC groups. Now get this, the money was used to defeat an anti-gambling law for the internet. He used the fundies to defeat an anti-gambling law. LOL, I love it. Talk about dopes and idiots.

But here in Gwinnett, it's supposed to be bright red. I don't know, I think the repuke party is in trouble here in Georgia.
