Once posted that DU was a soap opera -- anybody else glued to their "set"?

When I posted this analogy, many thought I meant the plot revolved around personalities here, but I meant that this is a very serious soap opera, with changing plot lines from national and international events, that rise and fall. Hurricane Katrina, for example, was a recent plot line, which continues at a lower ebb.

Not since the 2004 election has there been an addictive edge-of-seater like Fitz's plot line, with so much at stake. Efforts to remain calm, and keep a distance, are only semi-successful.

Thanks to all, especially H20 Man, who have researched so thoroughly, and written the story for us with such careful thought, as well as to those who report the story from blogs and the press.

Meanwhile, we wait -- and watch.
