Are DUers still "progressive"?
I am shocked at some of the responses I see from my fellow DUers, even long-time progressives.

NOTE: This post is sarcastic.

3. On what topics?
If it's that spanking thing, then that's a very personal issue and reason and politics get lost in the shuffle if those issues are large enough.

4. Well by past experience
I now avoid the following threads
1. spanking
2. tasers
3. handcuffing 6 year olds
4. Terri Shiavo

I find that sometimes the less I know about how people feel about these the better I sleep.

6. I guess it all comes down to just what progressive means.

I admit, I struggle with that one. I know that I leave topics that end up becoming oneupmanship in who can be more crass than the other. I get tired of the biting, self-superior comments that pass for some debates.

7. what..?? you only lost one job.. wife and i have lost 5 since Bu$h was
elected.. we moved here to TN from TX, cause they went on and on about being a secure "Family oriented 108 year old business, and outsourced her job in 8 months.. they just hired her to fill in till they moved to mexico.. NAFTA has cost 24,000,000 jobs and migrants have almost taken as many.. about 10% of the population of mexico has moved North.. Mexico is raising their standard of living by exporting their poverty, the standard of living for the *Haves* is actually second only to France. the movement of mexicans to the USA is the largest migration of people in the history of the world.

Bu$h, *...but they are only taking jobs Americans dont want*

the person that got my wifes last job called her at her work..!! and went on and on about the problems she had with it.. and actually asked her how to do it. she said well you are the pattern maker.. you figure it out... and hung up.

do the facts make me a Neo- Fascist..?? we are deeply in debt chasing jobs in out disappearing careers all over the country.. these last 5 years.
