AHA!!! THIS is what we've been looking for!!!
Radio host Charles Goyette gave an entire, 40-minute backgrounder on the great war lie, providing us with a badly-needed info piece for people who won't take the time to read all the things we do.

It's first rate -- covering the entire war lie -- and it's becoming a very hot download for redistribution (Goyette has said on air that it's fine to copy, host, e-mail, burn, etc.) locally by people like us, who are afraid the public isn't putting it all together.

Goyette handled this brilliantly. We need to get this thing out everywhere.

I'm burning a dozen copies on CD and spreading them around, and strongly urge you to check it out. We have been desperate for something as well done as this...

TO GET YOUR COPY, or to listen to it, go here and copy or listen to segment 3:

http://www.charlesgoyette.com/archive/index.cgi?2005-10-11-Charles

IMPORTANT: YOU WANT SEGMENT 3

7. Some bullets:
I strongly suggest you listen, but here are some key points:

>First security council meeting in Jan 2001 dealt with invading Iraq.
>Plans for post-Saddam Iraq floated at second security council meeting in Feb 01.
>Bush discussed going to war to gain popularity with biographer prior to being elected.
>PNAC 1997. "Rebuilding America's Defenses" doc -- plans for military domination on global scale, permanent US military presence in Middle East. Authors and signers were Cheney, Libby, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitze. Pearle, Bolton, Jeb Bush -- more names we all know well – they all ended up in the WH, Defense and State Depts. First order of business – invading Iraq. Letter to Clinton about invading Iraq for oil. Quote from doc: “The process of transformation, even if it brings about revolutionary change is like to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event like a new Pearl Harbor.”
>Bush asked Blair to support removal of Saddam within 9 days of 9/11, according to British Ambassador.
>DSM: Intelligence and facts fixed around policy.
>Meanwhile, Bush is claiming to public he hasn’t made up his mind about invading Iraq.
>“Save your breath. He’s already made up his mind” – Conoleeza Rice on alternatives to invading Iraq presented at WH– July, 2002.
>Bob Graham told Goyetted on the radio that General Tommy Franks told him they were already moving assets from Afghanistan in preparation for Iraq invasion.
>Summary pulling it together – Iraq was an objective since long before the admin came to office.
>August 2002. WHIG formed – no analysts, PR and campaign spinsters charged with selling Iraq war. WHIG consisted of Rove, Hughes, Matalin, Wilkinson, Rice, Hadley and Libby. Settled on “mushroom clouds.” Drumbeat started that month.
>Fall 2002: Major press offensive on robust nuclear program in Fall. (Card said in interview that from a marketing point of view, you don’t launch a product in August.) Cheney on Meet the Press: Nuke program and mushroom cloud. Rice on CNN: mushroom cloud. Everyone on the same printed talking points. Bush: UN Inspectors said 6 months from nukes – “I don’t know what more evidence we need.”
>Miller at NY Times starts helping admin roll out the story after Labor Day – front page story on aluminum tubes for centrifuges to enrich uranium. Dept of energy is laughing at this story.
>October 2002: Bush says Saddam has Al Qaeda connections, would use Al Qaeda as a forward army.
>Jan 2003 SOU address: Bush cleverly says the British Govt has learned of attempt to secure uranium from Africa – points to another source to avoid direct intelligence accountability (deniability). The administration already knew this wasn’t true because lines referencing this were pulled from an October 2002 speech at CIA direction due to lack of credibility.
>In Jan 2003 Rice writes article claiming Iraq has failed to account for the very uranium acquisition accusations the admin has known were not true since October. Bush tells Congress the same bogus story.
>Al Baredei tells UN no evidence of revival of Iraq nuke program since elimination in 1990s.
>March – 2 weeks before war – Al Baradei tells UN the documents we’re relying upon are not authentic. Docs are forgeries. Baredei was recently awarded Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts.
>Powell acknowledges a week before war that the docs might be false. War commences anyway.
>Bush reports to Congress we were attacking the people who attacked us – a claim later debunked by 911 commission.
>Admin members willing to sell the lie are promoted. Others are let go.

Pulling it to Plamegate:
>The intelligence paper from Britain was a forgery, an exact plagiarism from a grad student essay, copied verbatim from Middle Eastern Review of International Affairs, retitled “Iraq: Its infrastructure of Concealment, Deception and Intimidation,” and sold as intelligence from British government.
>IAEA looks as these docs says they’re fraudulent and even notes that a supposed signatory hasn’t been in power for years.
>Wilson debunks story as we’re all familiar.
>Novak: Two senior admin officials gave name of undercover wife in attempt at retribution. Says it was given to him – he didn’t have to dig it out.
>Plamegate is just one part of a much larger, uglier case for war. It was about destroying truth-tellers.

13. I missed it, I googled it, but still
DSM (in this context - it's an acronym for so many things) hasn't entered my lexicon.

What is it, please?

I listened to him when he filled in for Ed Schultz, and found myself wishing he was a permanent replacement.

6. This is by far
one of the best descriptions of the back story in the Plame outing.

I strongly urge everyone to give it a listen and pass it on, especially to those folks that you know that you just can't convince or reason with. Charles' delivery is very smooth, articulate, and convincing.

Radio at it's finest.

9. Suggesting you repost with a better title to GRAB lurkers and others
who would miss the importance of this.

something like, "best ever war lie synopsis and timeline free to download" --- or however you can fit the best info in a subject line.

We don't want anyone to miss this.

AND - I suggest sending a copy to senators and reps too. I am.

Thanks for sharing this. It's excellent.

10. This is very good, but once again, it leaves out the trafficking part
Edited on Thu Oct-13-05 02:49 PM by higher class
in wmd and nuclear equipment and technology that our VP and his friends are involved in. It mentions Plame, but not Brewster-Jennings, but I haven't read it all, yet.

It DOES NOT WEAVE in all of the CIA part of this story which involves three elements:

The WH agenda to take down the CIA.
The exposure of the work and ALL the people involving Brewster-Jennings.
The mis-use and abuse of CIA investigative findings.

We are being fed a tiny part of the CIA scene which has been twisted, laundered, re-laundered and manipulated to make it all hang on a couple of people and the WH.

This is wrong. If we concentrate on Rove-Libby-Miller-Cooper-Wilson-Plame, we are missing the true story.

This is a huge CIA-WH event - a fight for power and the conquering of the Middle East.

This is a broad offense against the world. Please don't get hung up on the sensational and digestible part of it. Take a break and learn.

Why take down the CIA? To replace it with Military Intelligence - making it easier to install military rule at home AND abroad.

Need to add stuff like Downing Street Memos, Kelly...
