Fineman: There are people are out for Karl Rove inside that White House
From Hardball with Chris Matthews - 10/10/05:

FINEMAN: ....some submerged, but now emerging divisions within the administration over why we went into that war, how we went into that war and what was done to sell it. There are people are out for Karl Rove inside that White House, which makes his situation even more perilous.

My understanding, from talking to somebody quite close to this investigation, is that they think there are going to be indictments and possibly Karl Rove could be among them, if not for the act of the leaking information about Valerie Plame, then perhaps for perjury, because he‘s now testified four times.

And there are conflicts between what Matt Cooper told the grand jury and what Rove evidently told the jury himself. And Patrick Fitzgerald, the prosecutor, is an absolute stickler for detail who has no political axe to grind here, other than keeping his own credibility. Having put Judy Miller in jail, having gone to the lengths he had, my understand is, he has got some people here, not only Rove, but perhaps Scooter Libby, the vice president‘s chief of staff.

1. Gracious!
Poor Sean Hannity was sputtering mad tonight, screaming about how this was all the democrats' fault! I think bratty Sean knows that Karl and Scooter are in big trouble.

2. The democrats' fault?
That's funny, seeing how our Democratic leaders haven't done a darn thing, really.

5. He is a little man.
Capable of only very little thoughts. So the fact that the republican administration appointed Fitzgerald, and the president has complimented the quality of the work Fitzgerald is doing, can't be processed by Sean. He actually accused the democrats of taking part in campaigns of personal attacks .... like, isn't that what this case is all about, Sean? Isn't it the republicans who are suspected of this, Sean?

Bush won in 2000 and they no longer had Clinton to bash.

Well, they still bash Clinton, but now that their messiah's apostles are going down they're pretty much blubbering. I hope Fox has a padded room in their studios. They will need it on Indictment Day!

10. Rush & company love to play to the angry victim crowd
Rush, despite being a millionaire many times over, still plays to those angry white working & middle class males.

6. Just like the Miers mess. It's the RW dining on their young... not the LW
Hannity hasn't a decent bone in his cowardly body.

He's as bad as the guy he'd like to succeed - Limpbag.

I like to lock them in a shark cage and toss in some knives.........

7. Then again - maybe the 'fight in administration' story is
being played up by the administration - so that a few people will get axed but the rest of the folks remaining look clean as the driven snow.

9. I still wonder if Cheney wasn't duped himself by an even more exclusive
"inner circle" of neocons. We still don't know if Cheney believed the yellowcake story.

I mean those neocon cowboys walk around saying out loud - "it is okay to dupe people & play with perceptions & reality". So why would anyone near them assume all the information they were getting - even as second tier neocons like Cheney & Rummy - why would they assume they were not being played?

This will be a very strange time.

America will get through it - and be back on a right path.

11. Andrew Card is talking to Fineman - has to be him
If you listen to Fineman talking, it appears his key source is Andy Card, WH Chief of Staff. Fineman reports that Andy has been sticking the knife in Rove, who Card thinks has to go, having brought this mess to the door of the WH.

Ain't it great?! Bush and Cheney at it. Their staffs at it. Card going after Rove.

This is AWESOME!!
