This is one scary-ass Web site
I found this while Google-ing Christian Reconstructionism and Theonomy:

http://www.serve.com/thibodep/cr/words.htm

In particular: Check out what it has to say about slavery.

2. The bible does say slavery is alright..........
and a lot of other pretty stupid stuff. Anyone who takes the bible literally and thinks it's unerring is a complete moron. I read the book when I was much younger (14 or so) and knew enough to not take it literally, too bad others didn't.
People like this are clueless sheep.

3. And why "Christians" are at the forefront of endless war:
"Israel was attacked by Amalek. According to Deuteronomy 25:17, Amalek "feared not God." Amalek's attack on Israel, according to the "Midrashic lore," was an obscene defiance of God and a contempt for God. Where men attack God's people, there we often have a covert or overt attack on God. Unable to strike directly at God, they strike at God's people. There is thus continual warfare between Amalek and Israel, between God's people and God's enemies. The outcome must be the blotting out of God's enemies.

Thus, fourth, the covenant people must wage war against the enemies of God, because this war is unto death. The deliberate, refined, and obscene violence of the anti-God forces permits no quarter.

Fifth, this warfare must continue until the Amalekites of the world are blotted out, until God's law-order prevails and His justice reigns"

Gee, has this guy even *heard* of the Beatitudes?

5. These "so called" Xtians
never refer to the new testament, where there gawd supposedly actually spoke. They only refer to the old testament, that's why they have such an obsession with the 10 commandments. They would rather fear a wrathful angry gawd than embrace a loving gawd. They thrive on fear and hate.

6. I think the Old Testament tends to give them more control.
With all the thou shalts and thou shalt nots, they can have some backup to go bust heads. It's a lot harder to feed your natural violent tendencies with "Love your neighbor as yourself."

7. Is THAT who that is?
I wondered why he rated a list of quotations.

Why is it these whackos never hold these false prophets accountable?

9. It's easier to cherry pick the black and white issues...
that shalt not kill's an easy one, for example. There's not much wiggle room and many rw christians luv the simplicity.

11. Proselytizing for another god
You would, therefore, be open, I believe, to hold Muslim views or Hindu views in the privacy of your own home, provided it was not a Christian home that you've now come into to subvert and draw away from Jehovah. You would be able to hold these views as a private conviction. But you would not be allowed to proselytize and undermine the order of the state.

:wow:
