15. it will never be Sheen folks
I have to keep bursting bubbles with this one, because Sheen is an avowed pacifist and will never run for office. Not even governor, which has some powers regarding the state militia.

Sheen serves us much better as a citizen-activist, and besides, we as a nation suffer from a celebrity sickness syndrome that makes us far too obsessed with entertainment people being elevated to office.

(I'll post the whole thing, since Faux doesn't seem to do show transcripts anymore)

SEAN HANNITY: Also coming up tonight, earlier Alan got to sit down with former vice president Al Gore and ask him about his recent criticism of the FOX News Channel. We'll get his answer. And then is Jimmy Carter truly deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize? Some think not. Should he give it back? We'll have that passionate debate on the way.

First in a press conference today, a group called Artists United To Win Without War, unveiled a letter signed by 100 celebrities including Martin Sheen, Kim Basinger, Samuel L. Jackson, Matt Damon. And the letter calls for the United States to back off their threat of a pre-emptive strike against Iraq.

You know our next guest, he's the wise-cracking, Martini-drinking captain BJ Honeycutt from the hit TV show M.A.S.H. Mike Farrell is one of the co-founders of the Artists United To Win Without War. Mr. Farrell, welcome aboard. How are you, Sir.

MIKE FARRELL, ACTOR: I'm fine, thank you. How are you?

HANNITY: Good. Thank you. Can I ask a political question first?

FARRELL: Sure.

LOL,that dialog is from Hannity and Colmes, you'd think Hannity would have learned a lesson going after Ferrell but no....

He had Ferrell on his radio show for at least 30-45 minutes before Chimpboys invasion and Ferrell turned Hannity's ass everyway but loose.

Hannity couldn't wait for a commercial break so he could compose himself and try and come up with a good reason for invading Iraq. Damn it was good....

29. I didn’t vote
Because it seems to me that we are being well trained by the Neo-con to react in a certain way. Every time they are successful they want us to copy them and do want they do.
Bush lands on the carrier we put up a general
They run an actor we run one
Don’t you get it; they have us on the ropes blocking punches while they score points. We cannot win without offence and we cannot let them set the rules of what works and doesn’t.
We need to show people that we are not like them and our policies are for the average person not the special interest. And we need to make news in ordered to get our message out, not just react to the news that they make.

35. Howz about having an orignal idea...?
They do a recall, we advocate doing a recall. They put an actor in office, we contemplate the same thing.

Stop the madness!

We need to be proactive, come up with our own strategies for winning and stop playing their games--we don't have to win by their rules.

Look at what happened: Some actor, with NO political experience, NO management credentials, and who refused to debate but one time, totally took the election! Would someone named Arnold ______ (not a celeb), with exactly the same zero credentials gotten anywhere?? Of course not.

44. I nominate Dionne Warwick to run against Arnold
First, she has a theme song previously recorded, "Do You Know The Way To San Jose?" In the event, we had to run the campaign on the cheap, we could use this previously recorded tune. It would be great for California tourism, the revenues from which would help offset the remaining deficit and balance the budget.

Most importantly, she would bring along her psychic network of friends. From a national security standpoint, this would bring a unique advantage. They could predict terrorist attacks BEFORE they happened, and with any luck, where they would occur. The requirement to adhere to The Homeland Security requirements could naturally be dropped, saving the State of California a whopping boatload of money while simultaneously increasing domestic security.

Think of all those people dialing the 800 number into the Governor's Office for advice from Dionne's staff. Revenues generated from those calls could offset that lost from the repeal of the car tax.

Finally, Dionne's Warwick niece is Whitney Houston. Whitney could campaign along side of Dionne, speaking out against the psychological damage caused by living with a husband who treats women badly.

I can see it. Dionne Warwick.

52. Why an actor?
I don't think the credentials of being California's next governor should not be if you were an actor/actress. They need a street fighter type to go in there and kick butt on the Repubs. It doesn't matter what profession they are in. I would vote for a taxi driver if he or she had some great ideas and had a great peronsa for the office they are running for.

What about Brad Pitt? I'm pretty sure he's a Democrat - I remember reading a Jennifer Aniston article in Rolling Stone. She said some negative stuff about chimpy then recalled an incident with one of the Bush twins who was working at her management co. for the summmer (after the underage drinking thing). Jen and Brad passed her in the hall and Brad said "hey what's up? I got some beer out in my truck". Then started laughing at her.
