12. Don't be disheartened
I don't think there
is any protection of integrity on the poll. I voted earlier today and again tonight. That tells me there's no IP logging and the poll requires no registration or unique identifier.

7. The poll results are scary. That's just how Hitler took power.
Could Hitler's spirit have wandered in limbo from his death in April 1945 until *'s birth in 1947 for a reincarnation?

10. We really need to do more work in our comunities
Should there be a U.S. law enforcement role for the military during domestic emergencies?

Yes............57%...4535 votes

No.............43%...3414 votes

Total: 7949 votes

I really think that these numbers represent how little people understand what is going on within the government--and the neo-cons like it that way. We really must do more work within our comunities. I am the first one to raise their hand to say that I am not doing enough.

11. people are not realizing what bush is doing. that is why they dont
get how to vote on this. they saw katrina and thought how military could help. they arent seeing it in abuse of military. they are forgetting we do not use our own military on our soil. people have to remember and be reminded that we have prevented not allowed, never even entertained the idea of military being enforced on our soil. remind them why we have always insisted on this

19. I have a question for all of you about this.
I realize nobody wants our own military turning on US! But, didn't we all see the expertise of the Generals, Admirals, and the appearance of the troops themselves in NO, make what seemed like a magic difference? They were the only ones who were willing to that charge and tell people what to do! Nobody in FEMA would do anything but say STOP because I'm not authorized to let you through.
The politicians all were simply overwelmed and didn't know what to do, and all those people wanted was for someone to do SOMETHING!

I think that's why you're seeing so many votes for letting the military take charge! They really are trained to go into a situation and TAKE CHARGE!

We can't seem to get any politicians to do that, so what really are our options?

20. The issue is law enforcement, not support and services. I agree with you
that the military has the most experience in those two areas and should play a lead role but domestic law enforcement is off limits.
