Here is why.
I think Bush has appointed a stealth candidate just like Roberts. No track record. Nothing to dig up.
The Tom Delay issue is a bigger problem. If you listened at all to any of his interviews, when he was asked about the republican agenda now that he was charged, he said this in almost every one. He will be involved and he does not need the title. He also said that within the next eight weeks, he will see to it that the House "pushes" through a bill to deals with the aliens in this country. A bill to drill in the gulf off of Florida. A bill that will deal with the hurricane destruction. A bill that will deal with entitlement programs. Language tucked in another bill to allow drilling in An war Alaska. There was more but I can`t remember . Anyway, you see what I mean.
He said it will be done with speed and effectiveness. We will show the people what we can get done.
I think he knows his time and the republican time in control is coming to an end and he will do the most damage he can until that time comes.
