Rush runs delayed here in Denver, so I got the chance to catch his rather lengthy advertisement for everybody's favorite progressive forum.

Some memorable quotes:

"Don't visit this place. I know you're all going to."

"You rank-and-file Democrats are worse than (your leaders)."

"It's just scary."

"It will only stir up more unrest."

The best part was this absolute straw-man post he dug up. I'm trying to remember anyone who ever advocated these things without getting immediately smacked down for it, if not tombstoned outright. And he said this post was 'tame' compared to most of what's posted here.

With that kind of setup, it will be even easier to demonstrate what kind of bellicose domagogues people like Limboxy really are. I hope his dittoheads show up here in droves. We'll give them an education.

3. Verification that the fellow who helped him get his second start in radio, and who taught him how to dress, was a gay man. Not that significant in itself. but you know, it is rather odd for a guy to be going clothes shopping with another guy.

4. The mysterious "cyst" that kept him out of 'Nam. One cause of anal cysts can be receptive anal sex, but of course we have no way of knowing in this case. We do know that this was on his draft deferrment documents, and that he now denies that he ever had an anal cyst. (He did so on the air just the other day.)

5. He keeps getting divorced. Not a lot in itself, but one wonders why? And we hear exactly nothing from him about his current wife.

6. The hearsay from a posting elsewhere on this forum that Rush used to go drinking at gay bars in in CA. Mind you, I do know that some open-minded people who are not gay go drinking with friends at gay bars. Rush has never struck me as an open-minded person. Or do I mis-read him?

7. In spite of the sexual preference of his mentor, and in spite of having socialized with gay people in the past, Rush has spared no effort to trash "the gay agenda" on his program. He has been especially nasty to Rep. Barny Frank.

I've never used drugs illegally, but I certainly know people who have (basically marijuana). They weren't popping hundreds (thousands?) of pills a day, or even smoking 5-10 joints a day. A druggie, IMO, is someone who abuses drugs, not someone who recreationally partakes.

I got no beef with soft drugs, as long as I'm not involved and people don't overdo it (and yes, I realize that it's hard to say how much is "too much").

Listening to the tentatively mild NPR interview with Mr. Anti-Spin Zone(preceeded by a vicious recorded slam by that wounded, aggrieved bully) I am totally convinced- because HE is totally convinced- that he believes whatever judgment drops from his mouth is absolute.
