A light moment

I needed to withdraw money from a rollover IRA account and got a very polite service rep. She goes through the usual spiel and explains the penalties and exceptions and possible tax implications. I tried to stop her but she was determined to complete all disclaimers. She explained in detail the exceptions under which I would not have to pay a tax penalty...things like health insurance premium. When she was done I asked her if there was a George Bush exception.

"What"?

"The George Bush exclusion, it means you don't have to pay the penalty because George Bush is still president". She burst out laughing and it took her a minute to compose herself. She then said I would have to check with my accountant. "And after you do, can you let me know what he says". "Of course" I replied.

She asked me what I wanted to withdraw and I told her the amount. I said "if I have have to withdraw the amount that's left it means I need a ticket to France or Canada". "I'm right behind you" she replied, still choked up from laughing outburst.
