2. yeah, really...
these dumb, Stepford-wife, cookie-cutter, nuclear family types...gahh...they're so boring and make life hell for anyone else that doesn't want to self-restrict their lifestyles to fit the boring mold.

8. There really is something Stepford-like about Roberts' smile. And eyes.
If I saw him in a Pod-people movie, I'd consider it a bit over-done :-)

7. I agree they are adorable
The little boy is a crack up too. I imagine he will be mortified over this outfit in a couple of years though.

11. Gods yes he will be.
I really got a kick out of him and his dancing. I mean really, what did they expect? It looks to me like his parents could use a rowdy little boy to loosen them up.

18. Check this out...
He is a cutie! I hope they do not crush his outgoing personality.

21. Hopefully
He seems to be a free spirit so hopefully it doesn't happen when he gets to be a teenager. Maybe they'll be cool parents.

24. Now that picture
made me smile. He really is a cutie but I am afraid he will be raised in a manner that will eventually make him ugly at least inside. Maybe not, we can always hope he grows to have more respect for others than it appears his parents have.

I don't get why they're stuck in the past with clothing. At least they aren't letting them totally run around like crazy kids or something.

13. LOL
In a past life I had a job has a live in nanny. What a strange world. Most of the time the kids know the nanny better than their own parents. Too bad nannies can change with the weather. There are a lot of poor little rich kids out there.

27. that's the point
in their warped view, America was at its most wholesome around that time. They seek to return America to that time period.

Problem is: America was never that wholesome. That was a media creation.

16. What is it with us Americans and white socks?
Kudos to Mrs Lawyer Roberts for knowing little Miss Roberts should be wearing black shoes after Labor Day, but the little boy really needs black socks, IMHO.

Obviously I have spent far too much time in Europe. I own two pairs of white socks - both for tennis only - and about 100 pairs of black socks. Plus a few novelty socks (blue stripes, flamingos, etc.).

:)

They are dressed like little kids were dressed in the fifties. As for the judge and his wife's outfits, in this day and age his suit would be right for a funeral and she looks like a sales clerk at Macy's.

23. AND how is it that so many dark-haried white people have blond children?
It makes me suspicious and I think of JonBenet Ramsey...

I mean, look at his wife's roots in that bottom photo! She was probably blond as a toddler, but it certainly a brunette now. And he is definitely a brunette... weird... I have brown hair, both my parents have brown hair..... weird, weird.... it's like there is some kind of Children of the Corn gene...

29. for starters, these kids are adopted
and even if they weren't, well, they might have light hair as toddlers and not later on. My husband's hair is almost black and I'm a blonde. Our 5-year-old is blonde, but clearly won't be as an adult; her hair is already slightly darker than mine.

One of the worst fasion trends has been the move to make little kids clothes just like grown-ups. I like them to look like kids.
