2. Like a corpse!
As a Boston dem I never thought that I'd see the day that Kennedys would back a republican moron like Arnold.
Joe, Joe jr., Jack, Bobby, Honey Fitz are all rolling in their graves.
This is sad!

4. What goes around, comes around.
No matter how much we like to forget it, Joe Kennedy was a fascist. Eunice is merely returning to her roots. Welcome home, Frau Shriver.

21. Wrong. Joe Kennedy didn't want another world war.
In America, perception often is reality. People who spread the idea you espoused help create a mistaken impression.

Certainly, Kennedy Sr wanted to do business with Hitler, rather than make war with Germany. Kennedy remembered what happened to all the millions of young men who became canon fodder for their country's generals when he was a young man. He worried his own sons would end up dead for no good reason other than the benefit of the world's royals and elites.

One more thing you need to remember: Joe Kennedy lost his oldest son, Joseph P Kennedy Jr, fighting the fascist Hitler. I doubt very much Joe Sr would want to be associated with that political philosophy.

28. Thanks for remembering. And Bobby enlisted in the USN...
... as an 17-year-old in 1943.

Here's RFK at his enlistment. Brave family.
Edward served in the US Army in the 1950s.

26. Uneducated response on your part....
...despite Joe Kennedy's political leanings, he eventually lost one son during WWII in Europe, and nearly lost another son in the Pacific.

Your paint brush is much too wide...try something much smaller.

5. Totally Disgusting
If the man had won fair and square so be it, but he knows he isn't qualified and won because of celebrity and so does his wife and any other Kennedy that supports him. I guess there is just no honor left today.

when I snoop around there. Do you really think that he is a plant? You never know, but I think the family would be smart enough to know that IF he was, they know where he'd end up.

16. I don't think that
And it didn't honestly occur until tonight........ don't know why.

But after all those Kennedys got on stage i was like - - - - crap, the real conservatives in that state must be making fudge of the loom right now.

I just thought some freeps may have wondered about it before.

Bet they do now.

She could have stayed home.

I think much the same could be said for the Bush* Crime Family.

Thanks, Eunice. Papa Joe would have been proud. Kennedy, Kennedy, Über Allis! How sad Leni Riefenstahls didn't live to film your triumph.

:puke:

At lest Teddy didn't betray us.

31. Oh c'mon you guys, this is 'family' and you expect them not to show?
I'm sure it was akward, and I didn't like it....but it's not as if Ted Kennedy gave a speech or anything. Maria is is WIFE and Eunice his MOTHER IN LAW.

If my brother in law (Republican) won office, I'd have an obligation to support him. I wouldn't be happy, but I'd do it.

And Maria/Eunice be damned for playing into Republican hands.

23. To remember what a Kennedy used to represent,
listen to Robert Kennedy's speech to a campaign crowd in Indianapolis, in which he breaks the news of Martin Luther King's assassination, April 4 1968. Real Player file:

What a man, and what a leader. And of course, he couldn't be allowed to live.
