What if Blair loses?
He'll just be replaced by Thatcherite Conseravtive who is even more hawkish than him. In addition, the Tories are economic conseravtives with a domestic issue agenda that would make Grover Norquist applaud. Don't get me wrong, I have really soured on Blair over the last several months and I won't cry any tears if he loses his job, but if he's replaced with a Conservative PM I won't see anything to celebrate.

1. Labor is in a faustian choice
What they should do is go for a
Nixonian solution and get him to step down.

If they do that, and distance themselves from us, they
can still save their majority, especially if they
take poodle and turn him over to the International
Court

2. As Poodle Boy goes, so will Chimpy
Tony's demise will inflict serious damage to the Bushie armor.

3. why do you assume that?
why wouldn't Blair be replaced by a true laborite, or at least someone who opposed the war? Blair is hurting the labor party now. if he were gone, it'd be stronger. the sooner he is gone, the sooner labor can begin to heal.

4. You bet'cha; I think it was a neo-con perk to gamble on Blair losing...
A win-win proposition to the animal cunning of their collective mind. England's Labor Party has fallen through the floor on this one. Blair, an otherwise brilliant thinker, thought that going along with Wash DC would be good in any context...it is not! Oligarchs are poised to pick-up every shattered piece in the world and proud of it. Tony Blair is noone to them and he should have seen it coming.

To say the very least: Bush ain't no Clinton ~

5. Does Labour have to support him ...
Can't the party just nominate someone else?

6. That's what I thought happened, too
I thought that british parliamentary elections were for which party would rule, and then that party chose their leader.
