Mock Trial of Donald Rumsfeld, et. al.
Just received this email:

Watch formal mock trial of U.S. officials via streaming video on UUSC website

The interfaith Call for Justice Weekend organized by UUSC's STOP (Stop Tortrue Permanently) Campaign is now in its third and final day in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of social activists from across the country are in our nation's capital for the full schedule of educational, motivational and advocacy events.

UUSC has video-recorded the formal mock trial which can now be seen in its entirety or in parts from our website. Visit http://www.uusc.org/blog/hotwire.html for links to the streaming video, which features the "trial" of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, former CIA director George Tenet, and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales on charges of authorizing and condoning the use of torture in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo. See http://www.uusc.org/programs/STOP/cast.html for a complete list of cast members in the trial.

Make your voice heard! Speak out!

The Call for Justice Weekend concludes today with an Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill, but you can still make your voice heard.

Even if you are not able to be in Washington, D.C., you can add your voice to the growing demand to end U.S.-sponsored torture. Visit "Join Call for Justice Weekend without leaving home!" at http://www.uusc.org/news/alert092205.html to see how you can help create a buzz on Capitol Hill on Monday by making the phones ring off the hook!

Speak out against U.S.-sponsored torture by phoning your U.S. senators and representatives to urge them to support the establishment of an independent commission to examine U.S. policies and practices for the treatment of detainees, including their detention and interrogation and allegations of detainee abuse.
