Why NOT Petition our Government?
quote......( 1st Amendment)
Limit the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
end quote......

The First Amendment only explicitly disallows any of the rights from being abridged by Congress. Over time, however, the courts held that this extends to the executive and judicial branches. The Supreme Court has held that the Fourteenth Amendment extends the limitations of the First Amendment to actions by the states.
A grievance is a formal statement of complaint, generally against an authority figure.

A substantial section of the Declaration of Independence consists of an enumeration of the colonists' grievances against "the present king of England."

Well, We have another KING now. Why have we NOT done a formal Petition of grievances?

1. It is time.
I suggest we appoint Mr. William Rivers Pitt to this task. Long an adovcate of Liberty and Reason, long a participant in the gestalt that is DU, long on the front lines of political struggle, I can think of no man more qualified by experience. Further, I can think of no man better armed by the pen.
