Somebody tell me how to do this
I received an e-mail from someone who photographed the large banner my brother and I held up in the rally. I wish to post this on the DU message board. I don't know how to transfer e-mailed images onto the board. It seems different than copy and paste off of a web site which I do know how to do.

I have an e-mac.

It's an awesome banner oft-photographed yesterday and wish to show the message to DUers.

Any help would be appreciated

1. You'll probably have to save it to your computer, then upload it to
a pic-hosting site like www.photobucket.com and then post the URL in a thread here on DU.

2. Right click the photo and check
properties. Copy the properties and repost that link here.

5. That won't work.
You need to post the pic on a web page like tinypic http://tinypic.com/

Hit the browse button, find the file and it will upload from your hard drive to their website. It will give you an URL address to post the link

6. It's worked for me
several times. I also use that method from newspapers but always put their link.

7. The photo was in an email she received
The email is on her hard drive. You can't post a link from your hard drive.

The reason you can post or link from a newspaper is you are pulling the image from their website.

To make it simple: Their website is on the internet, your hard drive is in your computer. You can only link to a webpage which is on the internet

Try posting a oicture from you picture file using the properties. It will look like this:

http://C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Pictures\untitledrr.jpeg
