Why do Democrats vote early?
I keep hearing people saying this about the California recall. I know that I was there at 7:15 AM.

My wife theorizes that Democrats place country over job and that Repubs vote late because they place job over country.

1. Huh?
I've almost always voted late. Does that mean I place job over country?

Never heard of that before.

2. I don't know if it's still true,
but in the past Dems were more likely blue-collar workers who had to be at work early, though their jobs (if unionized) gave them time-off to vote. So, they voted early in the morning before heading to work. After work they were too tired and dirty to go to the polls. Repugs, on the other hand, tended to be white-collar or independently wealthy, so they voted later.

7. Cause Democrats Sit Up All Night Worrying About Democracy
And can't wait to cast their vote?

Silly/stupid answer but it's what came to mind. :)

8. voting
Hmmm ... when I used to have a job, I'd vote after work. I was concerned that depending upon the line of people waiting to vote, that I'd be late to work.

10. I thought the Dem saying was, "Vote early, vote often."
It's a joke about the Dem machine in Chicago and elsewhere.
