2. Well Kerry will be 72
in 2016 and Edwards will be about the same age in 2024. I say we get rid of the DLC Dems and get some new blood to revitalize this party - folks who remember why they became Democrats and start living it

3. NO kerry ever again
He did not keep his promise to count all of the votes.

He never sponsored any VVPB bills

He didn't vote at all on medicare modernization disaster

He voted to invade Iraq

He conducted a lukewarm campaign

Where is that left over money from the 2004 campaign?

4. I think Kerry was a true gentleman who believed that the system woudl
work

True Honest people sometimes are a little naive because they don't believe the others would really stoop to that level..

I USED to be that way.

NOw I trust NO ONE

5. How much do you think there is of leftover money
and what are you basing the number on?

6. The story was they raised 10 million
to fight any election problems and since they didn't fight that fight perhaps some or most of that money is left over....

7. How much do you suppose Don McTigue is being paid to represent Kerry
in that GLib lawsuit in Ohio?

And about the 17000 lawyers that were supposed to be observing in various places for the election, do you think any of them got expenses paid and such?

And finally, when I look on opensecrets.org, why does it look like both Kerry and Gore had about the same amount of money left over at the end of their campaigns? Why does no one go after Gore for THAT fact?

8. Facts get in the way of mindless bashing
There are certain people who love to come in, armed with zero real facts, and just start flinging shit at Kerry or whoever other Democrat target of the day. We refer to these people with a word that starts with the letter T.

9. Who is we
and what word starts with T and why if someone doesn't share your love of John Kerry do you refer to them as mindless - I don't think you're mindless because you love Kerry - I just don't agree with you - can't we disagree without calling names....

I have plenty of facts John Kerry voted for the IWR and broke my heart and I swore I wouldn't vote for him - but I did for the good of my country - and then when he said he would fight to have all the votes counted he did not despite whatever you think he is doing in OH.

I really have no idea where the 10 million dollars went or even if it was true that they raised it - I was just responding to the one poster who mentioned the left over money and thought that might be what he/she was referring to...

Grow up and stop calling people who don't agree with you names....it really is childish.

10. All candidates have leftover money. This is SUCH a nonissue
Gore had leftover money. Morever, Kerry is still involved in 3 lawsuits in Ohio - obviously, the lawyers there are being paid, presumably with GELAC money. So what's the problem?

You don't have any facts, you're just spewing nonsense. Nothing you're saying about Ohio makes any sense whatsoever. You'll disregard actual fact of his lawsuits in Ohio and then repeat some BS about how "he didn't count the votes", whatever that's even supposed to mean. And by the way, it wasn't you I was referring to in my previous post, but another poster who made a hit and run Rove-like attack on Kerry.

11. And that's where I disagree
Edited on Fri Sep-23-05 12:32 AM by LittleClarkie
There is nearly no reason for him to be doing a damn thing in Ohio if it isn't to make sure, even now, that all the votes are counted or know why they weren't.

So, to me, there is no "despite whatever you think he's doing in OH." We don't THINK he's doing something in Ohio. We KNOW he's doing something in OH. Why should that be discounted?

I'm still hoping the original poster answers my questions or at least thinks about them. I knew what he/she was referring to. The number has been reported to be 10 million, 15 million, 40 million and "a bazillion" dollars at various times, depending on the particular poster's attention to facts or hyperbole.

So it's always interesting to see what a poster thinks is the amount of money Kerry had left.
