ENRON GAVE TALIBAN $MILLIONS (Old story)
While looking through old Enquirer stories at the instigation of a DUer who distrusts the credibility of the NE, I found the following, which seems to be worthy of resurrection.

http://www.nationalenquirer.com/crime/22359

Published on: 03/04/2002

The Enron Corporation gave the Taliban millions of dollars in a no-holds-barred bid to strike a deal for an energy pipeline in Afghanistan -- wile the Taliban were already sheltering terror kingpin Osama Bin Laden!

Enron executives even met with Taliban officials in Texas, where they were given the red-carpet treatment and promised a fortune if the deal went through.

That's the bombshell finding of an exclusive ENQUIRER investigation into the collapse of the company that ripped off Americans for millions of dollars. The ENQUIRER has also uncovered that some of the Enron money wound up supporting Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda terrorist network!

"Enron would do business with the devil if it would make the company money!" said a member of a Congressional committee investigating the company's collapse.

5. Check out a great book called "Ghost Wars" it highlights that event
right down to where Miller had a Taliban aide down to his Houston home and the aide actually slammed Miller for having a Christmas tree to honor Jesus Christ citing the "thou shalt not make graven images" statement.

Yea I think what you're referring to is when Unocal wanted to build a pipeline in Afghanistan to Pakistan and in the end the Taliban said no, but Marty Miller the CEO did make a trip to Afghanistan and did not meet directly with the Taliban but he met with the Taliban's mouthpieces and the deal was with his cult there's no doubt there.

4. I know it's true. I just wanted to pull it up out of the memory hole
once more, now that Shrub is so much more vulnerable.
