Enjoy the lowered gas prices while you can.Once the storm gets closer the prices will jump back upward.

1. The prices never lowered where I am, in fact they have
gone steadily upward.

6. I filled my second vehicle (minivan) when gas was $1.75
It wasn't running all last winter. Now somebody hit it in the street and I'm getting an insurance settlement. I'm trying to get $45 worth of gas out of the tank before the wrecker comes!

4. Stayed the same
but with a category 5 coming on the "Oil Patch" -- and refineries -- of the "Coastal Bend" (Port Arthur - Houston/Galveston and Ship Channel - Corpus Christi) - it's going to get much worse.

7. Lowered? They are still higher than they were before Katrina
Before Katrina, about 2.50,
after Katrina, around 3.10
now, about 2.70.

So, lowerd from that high, but I would still hardly call that "lowered".

But, you are right. After this storm, I expect we might hit $4 in many areas. If nothing else, just to condition people to think that $3 a gallon is low.
