Failing to act in a timely manner obviously contributed to old people and babies drowning, he peotected the people of the US. in a disaster in a manner that contributed to unnecessary deaths, end of story...!

42. That is not true.
According to the official interviewed on Anderson Cooper's show. They will only autopsy those bodies appearing to have trauma or other injuries. Drowning, he claimed, was pretty easy to discern, but any death wherein "foul play" is detected requires an autopsy, by law. They will not be doing autopsies on ALL the dead.

48. passing judgement r/e nursing home? Hospitals didn't evacuate everyone eit
I would like to find out more.

From what I saw on CNN, the nursing home's attorney said that they had weathered storms at their location for 20 plus years, and that the owners were hesitant to put patients on a bus.

They felt that the patients were safer where at the nursing home.

They didn't know the levee would break.

I may be wrong, but please find out more.

They also mentioned how in previous hurricanes that sick nursing home patients were put on buses and died on them.

It is really tough to care for elderly, to move them, to evacuate them.

The hospitals didn't evacuate everyone either, are they going to be charged with crimes too?

33. Wouldn't it be something if what a majority of voters...
...couldn't accomplish, Mother Nature could? It seems that Al Gore has been vindicated, if at a terrible price. And how telling that, even as Gore quietly labored to rescue nearly three hundred of New Orleans' most vulnerable citizens, Bush held up relief supplies for the sake of a failed photo op.

It doesn't matter what he's done or hasn't done, in his mind he deserves glory and he'll do whatever it takes to get it back.

Which, I must admit, does concern me more than a little bit.
