One of our stores...... has been completely taken by the military
for use as a base. Now if they can set up a base in Iraq in 24 hours with running water and latrines.... why oh why do they need to cripple businesses and industries already affected by the big winds? I am stunned to see that they commandeered EVERYTHING on the property for relief efforts.... like there aren't any trucks and so forth for sale in the immediate area.... wtf is going on?

8. Ummmm, it has equipment that can be used in the "recovery" efforts
.... but taking all the trucks, all the machinery and taking over the building entirely is a tad much imho.

5. We better check the new laws closely! Maybe they changed that one!
Wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't part of the 800 page? Patriot Act!!!

6. Gonna teach YOU not to ask them to help, wise guy!
Make them come out to your neck of the woods and they might just have to commandeer all your stuff for a while!

7. doesn't that violate the 3rd Amendment?

At least, what you describe would almost certainly violate Louisiana's anti-quartering law, which is the strictest in the nation.
