Holy Moley! Someone with a video cam recording the loading of the
poor dead into (Army?) trucks taking them to the makeshift morgues. It was just on CNN LIVE. CNN had a long shot on what was going on in the street, and there was some guy, civilian clothing, (shorts, regualr shortsleeved shirt), with a professional looking cam recording as the bodies were being placed in the truck.

It's all so sad and overwhelming, but am glad someone is still on the ground recording the truth.

1. The guy better be careful he doesn't end up getting loaded on the truck...
himself--no one is supposed to be allowed to film the bodies. The administration doesn't want the end result of their incompetence to be shown for all to see.

3. Brian Williams, NBC News has reported on his blog that the
news media are now getting automatic weapons pointed at them by the National Guard for taking pictures of the dead.

Snotty Scotty in the Daily Press Briefing dismissed the report because he hadn't had time to read the blogs today. As if...

We now have OUR military turning guns on OUR media to keep them from reporting the news.

Welcome to America.

4. Whose side is the National Guard on, anyway?
Are we supposed to "support" them when they're in Iraq, and be afraid of them at home in America?

:wtf:

FEMA Hires Contractor To Handle Bodies

A Federal Emergency Management Agency spokesman said the agency has hired a contractor to help remove bodies in New Orleans.

The decision was made with the expectation that there may be large numbers of corpses. But the spokesman said other than "guesswork," nobody has any numbers about the number of deaths.

A state health official in New Orleans said FEMA has 25,000 body bags on hand in Louisiana. That's according to Department of Health and Management Agency spokesman Bob Johannessen.

Asked if authorities expected that number of bodies, he said: "We don't know what to expect." Johannessen said it means his agency is prepared.
