Rove Propaganda Machine: Keep saying "Now is not the time to point fingers
Rinse....Repeat!!!

See the funny thing is, democrats were the ones in the beginning that didn't want to do the blame game. Clinton stood there next to the Chimp and Poppy pledging support to help raise money. Senator Mary Landrieu was the one who smiled and thanks Bush for his help. Democrats basically tried to take the high road after the hurricane hit because they realized those who needed help the most didn't care if it was a republican or democrat bringing the help to them.

Then the help dragged it's feet to almost a halt until the moment Bush showed up in the region for his first series of Photo-ops some 3-4 days after the the hurricane had hit. He hugged a few clean looking tourists and vowed to rebuild Trent Lott's home. The, finally, the trucks started to roll in with the help & supplies needed for the people stranded in the city.

Oooh, bad bad decision. Because this time the media did not give Bush a free pass. Even some of the more ardent conservative mouthpieces questioned the late arrival of the supplies and the fact that FEMA was ineffectual with first evacuating the city plus aiding after the storm had left. Bush was crucified from the press and I knew it was bad even when Lou Dobbs jumped on the 'Bush Screwed Up' bandwagon (well, he ever so gently stepped on for a few brief moments).

Now we're seeing the Rove Propaganda machine in full force. They know that the blame is fully in their court but this is an administration that will never admit to any wrongdoing. They attempted to put the blame on State & Local governments but even the Washington Post had to retract it's story when it tried that line of questioning. So now the Rove Propaganda machine is trying a new message. One that Squealer, whoops I mean Rove, hopes to teach the sheepies to repeat over and over again until the disenchanted press-corps returns back to their suck-up ways again. That message is "Now is not the Time to Point Fingers/Lay Blame". Get use to that message because you're hearing it from anyone & everyone in the Bush Regime. But they'll say loud & they'll say it often enough until the press picks up the message. And then when Congress/Democrats do their own investigating into what went wrong with preparing for this disaster you're going to hear that message again in the news "Now is not the time to Point Fingers/Lay Blame".

This is a pathetic game played by the repukes and unfortunately one they are quite adept in playing. Let's hope & pray that the democrats stick with their message and expose the lies, deceptions and gross miscalculations done by this government before the next major attack on our country, whether natural or terrorist, occurs!

3. Fortunately there isn't a lot of postive press on the handling so far..
I'm thinking that analyzing how the handling takes place and how things were done in response to the hurricane is something that' just gonna come from objective reporting. I don't think the Bush administration can escape the talons of common sense too long before the common man catches on...

4. Them's pitchforks and torches Mr. Rove.
Pointing fingers are pretty low on the list of things you should be worried about.

The "Bush haters!" are playing the blame game!

Then the Democrats softened the punch and out came the Republican bug guns! Do the Democrat leaders really want to make that mistake again?

8. And a month from now, we'll be hearing the "new and improved"...
Rove talking point.

"We need to look ahead, not behind."

In other words, "Get over it."

Ring a bell, anyone?

9. Then Delay speaks tonight, he gets to be bad cop
...The problem is the law says that emergency management is coordinated from the bottom up. {motions with hands in an upward direction} And they need to shoulder the blame for the failures.... After emerging with house leaders in a contentious meeting with the white house.

Of course all day the WH and Simple Scotty are regurgitating the now is not the time.. to play the point the finger blame game.
