The shining light on the hill.
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 07:48 PM by jhuth
We are all now a disgrace. Our leader relies upon misleading people and his cronies spew their hate of liberals, liberals who are debateably 50% of our Nation. We liberals, with every jab taken at us by our LEADER were listening, and we hated hearing that venom pointed at us again and again and again. So now I feel hatred in my heart, in my very soul for what has happened to the shining light on a hilltop.

We are now a weak pathetic nation that can't even get food and water to people who are dying from a hurricane. The former inspiration of hopes and dreams now has hopes and dreams for the chosen few, the poor and disadvantaged are left behind and dream no more. We are a nation divided, a nation that has been dumbed down by those who feel they absolutely know what is right and there is no debate with them, they all memorize their talking points.

There is going to be no accountability, and the real Blame GAME is going to be played by the real gamers, the Bush Whitehouse. They never lose the blame game you know, and that's what it is to them, a game. A game where people die, a game where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Their ability to play that game so well is the truly evil thing we fight, I fight every day, and am sick and tired of it.

I hope and pray we are willing to fight harder than we ever have. Me I could easiliy give in and open up the biggest can of hate I've ever had, but hate is what I'm so tired of hearing directed at me, at us, at the good people here on DU.

We need to fight and take back the hill.

2. I completely agree!!
I have been talking to family and any people I run into about voting and how important it is. Yes, I know many who have never voted. These are the people we have to get motivated. When you talk to them, they feel the same way we do but they figure their vote is not important. There are millions who never vote. We will keep fighting and take back the hill. We just need to do our part and get people to the polls. If we all keep talking, they are going to listen. I have to believe that.
