1. CNN is really going at it tonight! What a frightening report...
The water is being pumped into the lake and Bayou? When it is there it will just cause all kinds of other terrible environmental problems!

5. What other choice do they have?
There is already a huge dead zone in the Gulf which emanates from the mouth of the Mississippi River.
 I'm an environmentalist, but damn, they've gotta pump that water out.

12. Exactly
*sigh* Isn't oil and other toxicans in that water they're putting in the Bayou? And yes Mr. Cooper has been doing a good job with covering everything. I liked what he said on Maher's show about asking question's: if now is not the time then when is? (Although I didn't like him covering up for Iraq and wanted to scream at the tv)

4. "bungling" ... "incompetence"
The environmental guy, who works (worked?) at EPA but wasn't speaking ex-officio, really sounded like he wanted to tear the feds a new orifice.

14. and to think
people were living in the waters and some are still there and people really wonder why no one wants to go in there and get them? They are sick but have yet to manifest.

Horrific diseases are rampant already. And that Bayou ... a hell pit already.

This is the worst part to dump this into the gulf. Is there not something they can do to it, treat it with something in some way first? There must be SOMETHING THEY CAN DO!

:scared:
