1. This is now a federally controlled situation
You can't have it both ways. Part of the delay was the state and the federal government fighting over who will have control over the situation

Either the military (think federal) is in control or the state is.

IMHO, I would say that the state (Governor) and Federal (President) governments has done a piss poor job in leadership.

Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way.

When the military finally arrived, they are doing a hell of a job.
