The Far Right Death Cult
As a Muslim, I get confused when I see people like Pat Robertson, James Dobson, Rod Parsley, Fred Phelps, etc.

What are they, are they Christians, are they Phonies, what?

I know Christians, and the 'christian' Right and the Christians that I know are as different as night and day.

I am now convinced that those who make up the 'christian' Right ARE NOT real Christians.

This isn't to say that the 'christian' Right isn't religious.

Enter the Religion of the Right Wing.

Christianity is not about Social Darwinism, and it surely isn't about Mega Corporations.

What does Capitalism and Christianity have in common?

Absolutely nothing.

How do you compliment a religion that cares about the suffering of the poor with a system that is 'King of the Hill' and Competition?

You can't.

When was the last time that you heard Pat Robertson preaching the values of Jesus?

The 'christian' Right is not afraid to call the Christian Left 'not real Christians'. That should tell you something.

Go to PFAW's news of the Right. Just about every religious RW'er takes a stab at the Left, the Anti-Right, and the Satan when it comes to the Death Cult of the Right Wing.

There is no Christianity in the Far Right. It's all about worshiping the gods of the Right (Raygun and Bush) and the commandments of this Cult are 'Death to Liberalism', Bigotry, Homophobia, Misogyny, and many more 'moral values'.

1. As salaam alaikum
I think you are correct. I know some people who actually follow the teachings of the prophet Jesus, and their words and actions are not anything like those of the so-called "Christian" Right.

3. If the Christian right were really about Christianity, the hundreds of
"megachurches" that have sprung up in the last 20 years, particularly in the South, would be opening the doors to their huge facilities, with their food prep and dining facilities, gymnasiums and showers, to the poor, hungry and homeless now seeking refuge from the storm. I am unaware of a single instance of this happening.

4. I am a Christian.
And I know what Jesus would have done if he were in New Orleans last week. And it doesn't match what Michael Brown did. It doesn't match what George Bush did. And it certainly doesn't match what the right wing fundie groups blaming the disaster on gays and abortionists did.

The only thing to do is to hold onto what you know is right in your heart and keep talking to God. Don't listen to these horrible people.

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?" Matthew 7:15

6. The P.T. Barnum Effect
The U.S. has had huckster religionism run around the South and Midwest stealing peoples' money, and the Christian Right is no different. It's a business for them. For the people who give their money, it's snake oil, and they gobble it up with fervor. The real bottom line is the culture of ignorance that festers in some areas of the country.
